I got my dress on Friday and I can't be any more happy or relieved. I was in Toms River to visit family for Thanksgiving weekend, and I thought that was it; however, my uncles' apparently had other plans.
About a week ago, they sent me a picture of a dress they saw in a window of a salon called One Special Evening by Linda, and I said "oh that's nice", but I was not ready to look for dresses yet considering holidays were coming up and I didn't want to put money towards a dress that I would be using for gifts.
Fast forward to Friday, FI & I arrive by my uncles, and they take us out to lunch. Afterwords, my uncle suggests "taking a look" at that dress they saw, and I agreed, thinking that was all we were going to do. However, that wasn't the case. We pull in the parking lot and go in. It's a very small boutique, but they had a decent selectionl. So I'm still thinking "Ok these are pretty I'll come back later", then my uncle suggests trying some on. I start getting a little overwhelmed, but my uncs say just take a deep breath, it will at least give me an idea of what I want. (FI is sitting in the front away from the commotion). I try on 2 dresses and they are nice, it's refreshing to see them flatter my body. My uncles are all "OMG they look so pretty" They were on clearance and were in pretty good shape, so I'm thinking not bad...
Then they bring in this other dress, and as soon as I zip it up, I felt those chills and I started nervous laughing. I walk out, their faces light up, the ladies face lights up and I'm trying to keep composure. She just pulled this dress out and I was the first to put it on and we all fell in love. I still wasn't ready to buy it as funds were my main concern, but then my uncle tells me they are going to pay for my dress. Then I totally lose it. I am so happy, and so blessed for them, and now I really can't wait for the big day.
