We are doing online RSVPs so I can factor out the mail lag when it comes to being past the due date. We still have 2 weeks so I'm not aggravated yet (just impatient). We don't actually need our first headcount until September 17. FMIL had made it sound like her family was a little slow to respond and since that's 1/3 of our guest list, I went with an earlier date (ironically, they are the majority of people who have replied beause FMIL has been hounding them and my side is MIA).
However, we are doing our final meeting with our venue exactly on our RSVP deadline. At this meeting she is going to give me a room layout for our ceremony and reception based on our estimated headcount so I'd like to have a pretty good idea. Would it be inappropriate to send a friendly reminder text to my friends who havent replied (which as of right now is ALL of them except one BM who was an obvious yes anyways) the day before that it is due the next day? The RSVP is on our website that is mobile-friendly and I could include the link in our text. It may be a little pushy but I am the first of my friends to get married and I feel like they just don't get it. They all have to travel so I know it takes some time to coordinate but they all got STDs and knew this was coming.
