    Figure out our cake (a friend is a pastry chef and is doing it but we haven't discussed any specifics)

    I can't believe it is already March!!  Time has flown by!!

    My ring has been purchased (my band was purchased with my e-ring)
    FI/GM Tuxes (We have them picked out, they don't have to be ordered until July, so none are ordered, waiting on measurements)
    Flowers (using silk, so my cousin is going to help me assemble bouquets/bouts)

    Ceremony outline (my brother is my officiant, so I sent him an outline of what we want to do, waiting on him to approve)
    Photographer (my cousin is doing it for us)
    Pianist (again a cousin is helping)
    Hotel Blocks (I did one, but listed additional places to stay in the area)

    Cake (my aunt is an AMAZING baker, she is doing ours with my fave frosting)

    Here, my list will make everyone feel better about their own (if they had any doubts):

    Checks:
    Dress (but still needs some changes...nothing major)
    Ceremony site
    Reception site (but still need solid confirmation)

    Fairly Important To Do:
    Officiant
    Food (couldn't get the caterer I wanted, waiting for response from another one)
    Chair/Table Rental
    Invites
    Sound system
    Cake (we have a cake baker/designer in the extended family so I will probably go with her)

    And various other things that I have ideas for and can work on throughout the months; music list, decoration, ceremony details.

    Ok, so I have very little confirmed or decided on. But I'm building up some ideas and it will come together when I start putting it together! (I also need to learn how to ask for help as well).

    Yes, I am a bad bride. But it's also going to be on the casual side. I should have all the important major things done by the end of the month. And I'm not forgetting that I need to get into wedding-mode (hence my presence on The Knot).

    Our wedding is five months from today and while I'm still super-excited (obviously) there's still SOOOOOO much to get done!

    So far we've finished: 
    Ceremony and reception venue chosen
    Met with priest, set ceremony time
    Photographer booked
    Bouquets and ring bearer pillow ordered
    Caterer booked and menu tentatively set
    Some decorations and linens purchased (paper lanterns, card holder, wishing cards and wishing card instructions)
    Wedding dress and veil bought
    Registries (2) 
    STDs sent

    But we still have to do:
    Engagement pictures  
    Centerpieces and favors
    Tux rentals
    Rehearsal dinner
    Book wedding night hotel
    Invitations, escort cards, programs, menu cards name cards
    Wedding party, parents, and groom gifts 
    Meeting with band to discuss song list/playlist 
    Flower girl accessories (no petals so no baskets...)
    Wedding rings (mine just needs to be sized but his needs to be chosen and ordered)
    Cake order finalized (doing another tasting next month)
