Let's hear 'em!

Um...I confess that we almost burned the apartment down on Sunday. I was toasting some pecans in a pan on the stovetop to make cookies with. Turned 'em on, walked away for a few minutes while the pan heated up...and DH ambushed me with amorous intent.

I turned him down, he countered with "mmm, necknibble necknibble," and a minute or so later I had forgotten why I'd turned him down in the first place and followed him into the bedroom.

As I''m staring at the ceiling, recovering, DH says "Wow, something really smells Burning!" And I rush out of the room, naked as the day I was born, to find the pan smoldering and black, with pecans like teeny bits of charcoal.

Thank goodness it was only a quickie....

Haha, no. That was just me trying to approximate the noise that is made when he is nibbling on my neck. :)

Mel - that story is hilarious, but I'm glad you didn't burn the house down!

My vent is that less than 6 hours after landing in Vegas, I dropped my iPhone (bought in February!) and thus lost it. I know exactly where I dropped it, retraced my steps within 20 minutes of realizing I didn't have it, and it was gone. No one ever turned it in to the hotel where I was staying. So now, I have to scramble to get a new phone today because I have no landline and the buzzer for my apartment is attached to my phone. I feel like I'm floating in the land of the lost!

Needless to say, people suck for not turning in lost items.

I confess that if I ever post a vent, I would appreciate feedback, but if someone posts a really long vent there's a 50/50 chance I'll read the entire thing, if at all. I feel guilty about it.

I also have been sucking at eating lately. I'm turning into a binge eater. Not cool. But I'm wearing a size 4 jeans! YAY!

That's interesting, because the longer the post, the more likely I am to read it. But now that I think that through, it's because I think there's a greater chance of it being an entertaining train wreck. So now I feel guilty too.

I'm the same way. I'd be happy to skip right to February since January has my birthday in it.

Vent: I'm really pissed right now at my body. Surgery last friday, horrible throat infection which has caused me to have a fever for 4 days, I fell on the ice and hurt my back and tore open my incision, and today I find out from my Neurologist that I need ANOTHER surgery for 4 herniated discs. Fu*k my body. Where can I trade it in for a new and improved version?!

Confession: I have been eating like a crazy person since DH left for his business trip. Not over eating just eating all the stuff that i never get to get while he is here. Everything I have had has been take out and Extra spicy I love it. But I really do miss him he will be back tomorrow and I am excited for some necknibbling of my own LOL

I am SO sick of hearing people say "Are you sure you want to get married this soon?" It's a year and a half away!
