Disappointed

Hello Ladies!  This is my first time on the board. 

I just wanted a little encouragement!  I finally decided on a venue and a date (April 16, 2011) for my wedding.  My deadline to make the decision is April 1, 2010.  I was actually ahead of schedule (or so I thought) we made a decision this weekend and I was going to call today to schedule an appointment to book the date!!!  Well, the Event Planner beat me to the punch by sending me an email advising that my date was taken but other dates in April were available.

    That is disappointing. We are date twins. Haven't found a venue but I am starting to run into more venues that are booked for that date so I am keeping my fingers crossed I am able to find a venue in the next 3-weeks.

    Keeping my fingers crossed for you too. Hang in there. The wedding industry is a booming one so you are bound to find another place just as good if not better.

    Welcome to the AAW Board!!!

    You have find the right place for encouragement.  I am sorry about your date being taken.  Does your date have some significant meaning? If so I would definitely suggest changing venues especially since you have plenty of time.  Again welcome to the board these ladies are awesome here....so jump right in!!!

    Welcome to the board first and foremost. You have definitely come to the right place for encouragement and uplifting.

    I am so sorry that you cannot find a venue to accomodate your selected wedding date. But as the previous poster has stated, you have plenty of time, keep looking. Not everyone is booked on that day. Are you open to another day in April if you cannot get the day you want?

    Welcome!

    Sorry about the venue situation...just know there is something else out there that is better for you. I am a little over 6 months away and I have been through venue hell and back...but as these ladies have told me (and I am sure they will tell you the same thing), it will all work out.

    I know you are disappointed now but you still have plenty of time to iron out the kinks. As pp stated, unless that date has some significant meaning to you, you can choose another date if you are set on that venue. I changed my date like three times before we actually booked/put down deposit on venue!
