Mini-rant: Jae Hee Bridal

Just FYI, don't use their online booking system. I had done so over a week ago, trying to get an appointment to see veils. I got an email saying my booking was unconfirmed, but I assumed someone would get back to me to confirm...or, you know, tell me if nothing was available. Cut to today, when it's 2 days away from when I was trying to get an appointment for, and I still haven't heard anything. I call, am told they're completely booked, and that someone tried calling  me three times and when I didn't answer, they closed my ticket. Now, my only phone number is my cell, which is never turned off because it is my ONLY phone number and, if anything happens in an emergency, that's how to reach me. NO ONE tried to call me in the past 9 days from their number. In fact, I have no missed calls from ANYONE except my mom and my sister. I also have no voicemails from them. So...they didn't try to call.

I mean, I know I'm just looking for veils and I guess they save the appointments for people shopping for bigger ticket items (even though you can't get seen, even for a veil, without an appointment but whatever) - I honestly can get that. But the lack of courtesy bugs me. I live in New York. I have to very carefully plan my weekends when I'm in NJ for wedding planning because I can't just go any random day of the week to take care of things. The very least they could have done is given me a call to tell me what was going on, OR when I called, apologized and not just given me some attitude-y line about trying to call me. I am the customer...you could at least try to be polite.

So, just so you know - if you want to book with them, CALL. They won't treat you well if you try the online calendar.

  • They aren't much better by phone either. Once you're there they're good but communication is lacking.

  • I got my wedding dress there, a very long, stressful process with them. After months of frustrations and literally screaming at them everything worked out. If you're looking just for veils, I would just walk in there. If you're pushy with them, they'll give you what you want. Their veils are a little over priced but I had them make mine which was a lot less expensive. Good luck!

Honestly, I would consider just walking in there, but after the annoyance of dealing with them, I'm going to check my other options first. I'm sorry they were a pain for you as well!
  • The worst dress store ever.  By far.

Honestly, if you have to beg someone for their business - they don't deserve 2 cents from you.  They are 9,000 other stores out there that have veils....why not try one of them.

If you are keen on trying your dress on with the veil - call a few other stores to find who also carries your dress and buy a veil from them.
  • Try Bijou Bridal in Paramus. I went there and went to Jae Hee after. My experience with Jae Hee wasn't bad, but it also didn't match the service I received at Bijou. I am speaking from a dress perspective though, I'm not sure what their veil selection is like, but they do have great customer service!
