Fort Lauderdale hotels for wedding night (and/or for OOT guests)

Hi everyone!
I am doing research on some hotels on fort lauderdale beach for us to spend our wedding night in. I was also looking at either the same hotel or other maybe more "affordable" hotels for OOT guests to stay in.
Any ideas? I looked at the W (and holy moly its pricey!) and the Ritz. I KNOW there are more but I just don't remember the names of the hotels in that area any more :(
Any help would SOOOO be very much appreciated.

If you have a strong negotiator in the family have them talk to the W and play hard ball! For my moms wedding we were able to get a room for 150 a night (last semptember)! Good luck
  • Hilton Ft Lauderdale Beach, Westin, Sheraton YankeeClipper, Bahia Mar, B Ocean, The Atlantic Resort & Spa, Pelican Grand, Sheraton Ft Lauderdale Beach .... theres a million, but those are the ones i remember off the top of my head, aside from the ones you already mentioned. im not sure about pricing though...
  • JosGirl: OH man, I might have my coodinator do that :) $150 a night at the W is unreal!
MrsFranco: Thank you, that helps alot! I heard they remodeled the Clipper recenty too! :)

  • no problem -- i think if you use google maps and look for hotels along ft lauderdale beach you'll find the rest of them. and yes, they did remodel the YankeeClipper ... also, some hotels include a suite for the wedding night in their packages (i.e.: Wyndham Deerfield Beach) as long as you have a minimum met...and the minimum is usually pretty easy to meet (i.e.: i believe Wyndham Deerfield Beach's is 40 guests) ... and most hotels if you book them for the venue, they can block off rooms for a lower rate for your OOT
  • Pelican Grand Beach is one of the more reasonable ones. It's right on the beach just a little bit up from Las Olas. Have been in the rooms and they are really modern & nice.
  • I stayed at the Hampton Inn Fort Lauderdale Downtown City Center. It’s not at the beach, which probably means it is less expensive for your OOT guests… It is a nice, clean hotel with friendly staff and breakfast included. Here is their webpage: http://www.hamptoninnftlauderdale.com/
