I'm sooooo excited!!

Sooo my sister is pregnant with triplets... 2 boys (Owen, Grey) and a girl (Lilly). Tonight we found out that baby Lilly's cord isn't allowing all the necessary blood flow soooo the doctor will decide in the morning if they will infact take the babies tomorrow. My sister is 29 weeks tomorrow and the babies are 2lbs 11oz,2lbs 7oz, and 2lbs 4oz, Lilly being the smallest. I'm really excited, and nervous for her at the same time. Laughing Just wanted to share.... hope you girls are all having a great night!!

Wow, they sound super tiny.  I hope they can let them stay a few more weeks, but good luck to your sister and her little ones!!!

Sorry girls, I thought I already introduced myself but apparently I didn't! My name is Tyann and my FI's name is Gavin. We've been together a year an a half. I met Gavin a few years ago, actually a week after my ex of 6 years and I split. Gavin was in college and I wasn't ready to jump into anything so we lost touch for a couple years and was randomly set up on a date a year and a half ago. I had the biggest crush on Gavin from the first time I met him. He's absolutely amazing. Anyway, he started talking marriage a couple months into it... however, I joined the site originally as a bridesmaid (I'm in 3 weddings in the next 60 days!!). I've gotten tons of ideas but I fell into this board originally and I've just kind of got stuck lurking in it. I love the honesty of the girls on this board and quite honestly I get a kick out of some of the BSC that appears occasionally. So anyway, we're getting married New Years Eve...it was our compromise. In my perfect world we would have gotten married on a destination wedding and in his perfect world we would have a huge wedding in May. We've compromised to when I wanted to get married, only with the big wedding.

Sorry I didn't introduce myself before. But thats me in a long nutshell.... Laughing

Really?  You are EXCITED?!  So excited that you needed a bizillion !!! and to post it on a board where people have no relationship with you?

You do realize that your nephews and neice are having to be born due to a serious health issue.  If it wasn't serious, the Dr. would not be doing a c-section to get the babies out.  Also, being born at 29 weeks is risky.  While they have a greater chance of survival after 24 weeks, 29 weeks is still very early and poses many health risks, both short-term and long-term.  Plus weight estimations are just that.  ESTIMATIONS.  The babies could be much smaller.  Doctors are off on weight estimations all the time.

I get that you might be excited about becoming an aunt.  However, worry/concern should be much higher on the emotional scale.

I second Mutley's sentiments.  I get that you are excited to be an aunt.  Congrats on that.  But 29 wks is *extremely* early to be born.  The babies are at much higher risk for problems.  I'd be much more concerned than you seem to be, and my post would've been along the lines of "Oh no! My sister's triplets have to be born at 29 wks!".  Triplets do best if they can make it to 34-35wks.

Best wishes for your sister and her babies.  I hope everyone is okay.

The title reminded me of SBTB. I'm so excited. I'm so excited. I'm so SCAREDDD!!

Anyways OP- Ditto what everyone else said, I'd be a bit worried if they are 29 weeks and only 2 lbs. GL!

Well at 7AM today the babies were born. They were all breathing on their own and even though they are tiny the doctor said it was better for them to be in the NICU than in the womb at that point. My sister was starting toxemia.

I'm sorry if my original post seemed selfish and not concerned, it wasn't mean that way at all.

I'm not naive as to the risk of the babies, however, there was simply nothing I could do but pray for them, and be excited. Worrying wasn't going to get me, or any of those babies anywhere, and I just had to trust the doctors making all the decisions. I couldn't help being excited, especially since these are my first neice and nephews.

As far as posting on a board where nobody knows me, I apologize, I'm on here daily but just for short periods of time as my life has been super hectic the past few months. I thought I had introduced myself before but obviously not.

I understand focusing on the worry wouldn't have helped anyone, least of all your sister.  Congrats on being an aunty, and I'll keep my fingers crossed that those babies stay healthy!
