Complimentary Colors

Hey ladies -

So I'm hoping to use a pale green and orange for my main wedding colors - the girls in the green with orange flowers (see inspiration board linked below.) My florist and I were discussing ideas about centerpieces and I can't decide what colors I'm going to want in the centerpiece arrangements. It's pretty impossible to find the color of the dress in a flower, so they'll have to be orange with something else. We thought of yellow, lavender, or just shades of orange. My worry with yellow is that it will start look Halloween-ish, and you always have to be careful with orange that it doesn't become too "fall" (the wedding is in May).

What are your ideas?

My colors are orange and green as well. In fact they are exactly the same, my girls are wearing green and carrying orange flowers. I also wanted another color to throw in and I think we have decided on purple hydrangeas. I was also thinking about a light blue but im not completely sure about that. im not sure if this picture will show up but if it does than maybe this color blue would work, if not it is just a simple baby blue color.

The blue hydrangeas look nice with orange. I'm a fan of yellow tho. If you keep it a light pale yellow you will avoid the "halloweenish" feel. Think light yellow roses or yellow tulips - very springy. I was in a May wedding not long ago and she used hot pink with orange. It added a real fun and playful feel. Hope this helps.

I don't think you should worry about matching the greens. It will actually look a lot prettier if you have a mix of different light and bright greens.

Plus, I don't think it will feel halloweenish at all if you have yellows... I think this would only happen if you started doing lots of blacks and dark purples and pumpkins. So, you should be fine.
