Floral cost for small wedding

I've seen people posting estimates of $1,000 - $1.600 for floral costs.

I'm having a very small wedding -- 50 people, no bridal party. I will need flowers for six dining tables, a few other tables, the bridal bouquet, a few corsages/boutonnieres, and maybe something in the ceremony space (which is outdoors, so Mother Nature has really done the decorating for us).

Any idea what level of cost I might be looking at? We're trying to keep everything simple and natural. I'm going to start meeting with forists soon and have NO idea what to expect.

Thanks!

It really depends on what flowers you choose and what is available in season when you get married.

I would probably say depending on how simple you keep things and if you choose flowers that are in season and readily available you could get away with something around $700 or $800. That might be a little on the high side, just guestimating. If you really wanted to cut cost you could use alternative to flowers on your centerpieces.

We paid around $1k for 4 bouquets, 6 boutonnieres and 13 table arrangements.  We had about 8 or 9 jars with flowers and the rest of our tables had pumpkins (we got married in Oct) with floral rings around them.  Our florist asked for a budget and she worked around that.  I think you could absolutely do this for less than $800 - I think sticking with in season flowers is key.
