Veil..

So I fell in love with a way to expensive veil and now nothing else I find matches it..or comes close! How much did you ladies pay for your veils? If you care to share that is!

    $10.99 off of http://www.valuveil.com/

a lot of the ladies on the budget board have used them and they're great if you're just looking for something simple or with small accents.  I loved my veil.  Cheap and just as pretty as the ones i was looking at in spendy shops.

The one I love is a Giselle Bridal Ivory cathedral length with detailing throughout the veil. I can't find ANYTHING similiar..Frown

I lucked out and am using a veil that one of my BM wore in her wedding back in 2007. It actually goes really well with my dress and is the lenght that I was looking for.

Mine was $160 from DB.  I wasn't going to get one at first, but after one of the first conversations here I've changed my mind.  :)

I don't know how to link the conversation...but that might have worked.  If not, i searched veil and it was the back fat conversation.  Yup, that pretty much convinced me...but now that i'm working out and eating better - hopefully it won't be an issue. :)

I'm in a similar boat. At first I was debating a veil because the skirt of my dress is so busy, so I thought I would just go with a big hairpiece(eg. Flower) Then I found a really unique and peferct veil but it was like $250! I am NOT willing to spend that much on a veil. I think the most I would pay would be $100 and I probably would still cringe handing over my debit card.

Otherwise I would call Wahoo Bridal in Nebraska they seem to know someone who can get or make something very similar for less on just about anything. Personally I don't plan on spending more than $50 on a veil but I figure I'm only wearing it for 30 minutes anyway and think the over the top ones look trashy on me

Thanks for the links Molly but that's not mine..its an sp197, it has embellishment throught the veil as well as along the edge. There's a pic of it on the dress thread. I don't find it over the top as my dress is pretty plain except for some embellishment on the top, but to each their own.

Mine was originally $250 (which is more than half what my dress cost!) and I don't think I'd really ever have bought it myself but my sister and my mom loved it so much they were, like, we'll get it for you but you HAVE to get that veil! Because I got my dress at the same time, it was $199 but still- more than I'd planned on!

It's a cathedral length Vera Wang veil from her DB line and the way I figure is half the dresses I liked had some sort of train except the one I wound up getting which happened to not have one. So I get a train without needing to get the bustle (including that added alteration expense.) Win-win for me! I'd see if there's anyway you can find someone who can recreate the look you like, maybe try etsy or look for local seamstress recommendations?

I bought mine for $120.  I found someone that makes them from scratch.  I just sent her some pics of what I wanted and very detailed description and she sent me some pics of what she had that was similar then made my veil to my specs.
    I was more than pleased.
