My preserved bouquet! PIP

I dropped off my bouquet the day after the wedding to have preserved, and just a few weeks after that, it was ready! I got it in the mail yesterday.

I love the colors (even though the dark pink was hot pink before the flowers were dried) and its just such a nice reminder of our wedding day, without it looking too wedding-y.

Did anyone else have their flowers preserved?

Re: My preserved bouquet! PIP

  • the place i went wanted 500 bucks. I was like NO WAY. So i sprayed and dryed mine. They are in the basement still firming. already 10 days old and they are still pretty alive which is mind blowing.
  • So pretty. I wish I had the fore thought for this and didn't think of it until after the wedding. I tried to preserve the flowers, but ended up killing all of them and they ended up in the trash. I was upset at first. But I like what you did. Where did you have it done?

Everlasting pressed flowers. The woman was in Hampton, NH, and I dropped off the bouquet on my way home from Maine the day after the wedding. Apparently people can ship their bouquets to them if they dont live in the area.

Gah! Wish I had known about this! I would have had my parents drop my bouquet off on their way back to Dover! They did a beautiful job and it will be a pretty reminder of your day!
  • I wish I had thought about this! It's beautiful. I tried drying mine ... it looks pretty cruddy now. Sad.
  • Beautiful!

I made no plans for mine, all the bouquets are still sitting in the same box they were in the day after the wedding.  Obviously all dead, now.

I'm still thinking of taking the petals and making an ornament, maybe with a shredded up invitation:

  • Mine lasted for about 10-14 days after the wedding before they went downhill. It's in my old room at my parents house. I was a little sad when it died, but I remember how beautiful they were and how I basically held them all night long :)

  • Mine are getting preserved right now! I will post a pic as soon as they're done!
