Alterations/Columbia Bridal Follow-up

Hi Everyone,

I just had my second fitting at Columbia Bridal and the seamstress Rocha has done a great job. I think no matter who does your alterations, you need to have a realistic vision of what your body really looks like. You need to know exactly what you want the dress to do for you, realistically assess whether it's possible, and lose weight if necessary. You also need to know how you want the dress to bustle. Don't expect any seamstress at any salon to work a miracle or read your mind.

You also you have to follow instructions.  If the seamstress says come to the fitting with the correct under garments and shoes then you need to do that. Good luck!

I am sincerely glad that it's working out for you!  That being said, there have been lots of girls who have not had a good experience there - my friend's hem was grossly uneven and she had all of the correct undergarments on.  I think that when you hear multiple negative reviews about a vendor of any kind, it's use at your own risk from there.  Not trying to be snarky, I really am glad that your dress is turning out well.  Happy planning!

Glad to hear everything is working out for you!!!  However, I am not going to take my chances with them.  Also, it's a pretty decent drive there for me so I rather have someone a little closer for fittings.

I purchased my Maggie Sottero from there but i decided not to use their seamstress from there becuase we have one already. But Savina was wonderful. I picked out 8 or 9 dresses and she picked up one becuase she thought I might like it. It was the only one I liked :-) Very nice people there.
