Etsy for DIY invitations

Have you had any experience with any etsy.com DIY invitations?  I love the designs but is it really worth the savings?  I'd love to see pics of yours and if anyone knows who to recommend!

I received my proofs last week from Etsy seller Jessica's Design Shop & I'm so thrilled with the results!!!! I ordered cardstock, pocketfolds, envelopes & glue from www.cardsandpockets.com & Kinko's printed/cut my invites yesterday (about $75 total). Once I tally Jessica's design fee, the materials & printing/cutting costs, it'll cost me 1/2 of what I would have spent if I had the invites made by a vendor. Amazing & I'm not sacrificing anything! Send me your email address & I'll email you my proofs. I'm putting together the invites this Sunday so I can send you pics of the finished product then. :o)

Much like the PP said, I had an etsy designer do my invites and send them to me in a PDF, I ordered my materials through cards and pockets and printed them at Kinkos.  I have a picture of my final product in my bio, as well as the contact info for the designer I used!

WOW! Future Mr L.R... I LOVE LOVE THEM!  So simple but elegant and it didn't look hard to put together!  How did you seal the back?

Thank you!  I love how they turned out!  I used Zip glue that you can buy on cards and pockets, which was wonderful!  For the square seal that holds the pocket fold closed I used the zip glue to attach it to the flap and then a glue dot (they sell them at Michaels) to get it to stick down onto the pocketfold.  This way they were sealed, but when people open them it will not rip the paper.

Oh, and here is the price break down: The designer charged me $30, I ordered materials from cards and pockets for about $150 (I used a coupon they e-mailed me when I signed up for their e-mail list), and it was about $75 to print them off at Kinkos.  Cutting out the inserts was a pain, I did it over a few weekends, an hour or so here and there, probably 3-4 totel of cutting.  The glueing was not so bad, my mom and I did all 75 invitations in under 2 hours. The cheapest quote I got from an invite store was $1500 for this same thing, so it was well worth the savings!
