My husband and I were married over this past weekend, October 9, 2010.
Make-up: Mary E. Coop-she was so friendly and accommodating for my friends and family. (6 ladies) She even came back after the ceremony and before the reception to touch up my mother and me. Also-very affordable for someone that comes to you.
Flowers: OMG! Eden's Echo-Erin McLarty is a true artist! My flowers were amazing and I had so many compliments for everything she did. I was so sad that we had to cut the cake-it was beautiful with a lovely cascade of fresh flowers.
She is super friendly and willing to work with your budget and last minute changes.
Cake- Cakes and More-it was amazing (4 tiers and different shapes) Each layer was a different flavor, I only got to taste two. Cythia Gallagher is the owner and so sweet. She did everything I asked for and did not have any trouble with my last minute changes. The grooms cake was what my hubby asked for-Aggie cake. The artwork on the cake was amazing. Everyone went back for seconds-we had very little leftover of the brides cake and no left overs for the grooms cake.
Reception-Grand Promenade (at Pat O'Brien's)-the ladies that run the GP event center were so friendly and helpful.. They worked with our budget and even helped us save when we were unsure of what to do about the bar! We had passed appetizers and people were asking all night for more. The dinner was so-so about what you expect from a wedding, but I think the majority of people got their fill on the bacon wrapped shrimp. My husband and I go to eat plenty. Everyone had a great time and the GP staff were so friendly!
