Videographers?

Hi! Does anyone know of a good videographer who will charge around $1,500 for 5 hours of taping and an edited tape? FI and I just don't care much about videography, but we do want something we can save and show our future children someday. (Ok, and my mother will probably watch it repeatedly.)

So far, I've met with Black Tie Films - who are wonderful but way too expensive - and I'm looking at Boston Wedding Films (with Jason... not super professional over email/phone, but apparently good), Boston Event Films (Fritz), Digital Imaging of Cape Cod (Bob Lassiter), and Playback, Inc. (Sandy). And maybe also Hal Silfer Video and Seaside Videoartistry.

This is becoming WAY too time-consuming for something I don't even care about! I just want someone who blends into the crowd, is professional, and can make a nice (non-tacky) video. Does anyone have a recommendation?

  • I have seen idocinematography.com on many preferred vendor lists. I haven't worked with them but I know their traditional package (4-8 hours and DVDs) is $1500. Good luck!

Packages will vary depending on how many hours of coverage you want and whether you have single camera or 2 cameras filming.  Reducing those are one way to save money!  My friend used True Focus Films and she *loved* her video.  I'm pretty sure they have smaller packages in your price range.  Good luck!

  • I am using Moonlight Video with Bob Capone.  He came highly recommended from my photographer and is very reasonably priced.
