Venues - fulton's or galleria marchetti? Anyone have their reception at either?

I'm looking at both fulton's on the river and galleria marchetti for potential reception venues. Anyone use either of these that could let me know how the experience was? thanks!!!

    I can't speak to Fulton's, but I work in nonprofit and corporate events and I'm currently working on an event at Galleria Marchetti. The event isn't until August, so I can't speak to the outcoe, but thus far, I've been very impressed with their responsiveness and professionalism. Their pricing is pretty comparable to other venues of its size and scope. The space is beautiful.

    For a wedding, their tent space is really really big. The event I'm doing is a cocktail party for 400+, so the only thing I'd say is to make sure you're confident with the size of the space so it doesn't get too big for your wedding.

    I have not been to either but have heard that the food at fulton's isn't supposed to be so great. (not sure if food is important to you or not)

    I looked at Galleria Marchetti for my wedding and if I remember correctly, I don't think they have air conditioning in the tent area.  I think they have fans, but those could possibly get kind of loud.  If you're looking to have a summer wedding, this should be something that you definitely make sure you pay attention to.

    I have been to a wedding at Fultons, and it is beautiful especially with the patio seating/bar area outside of the main reception hall. It was one of the best summer weddings that I have been to!

    Agree with joo.

    I think the best wedding food I ever had was at Fulton's, and it's gorgeous.

    jg2ea, you prob shouldn't knock the food if you haven't tried it.....not a fair review!

    I am getting married in July at Fultons and just did our tasting last monday... let me say from first hand the food is amazing!!! My fiance is a chef and he even approved! I looked into Galleria Marchetti bc of the beautful outdoor area but you still get the same vibe at Fultons sitting right on the Chicago River and plus the indoor area is beautiful!!! Best Wishes!
