NWR: Baby Name Rant

So I just found out that my exFI and his F*** Buddy are expecting a daughter, and he chose the one name that I wanted if I ever have a girl, Faye Marie.

His FB is posting it all over Facebook, and it’s slightly upsetting, and very immature of both of them. (He’s the kind of guy who does things like this to rile people up) He knew how important that name was to me.

I know its lame of me to post here and vent about someone using a baby name that I wanted, but it’s just upsetting because I know the only reason he chose that name was to get to me. (He also told me he HATED the name when we were together.) He wants me to flip out and start some Facebook drama over it, but I'm better than that.

I know my SO doesn’t want to here me complain about my ex, but I just had to get it off my chest, so thank you. :)

    Honestly I bet he had mentioned it as an option just cuz it was the only thing he could think of (from you) and she prolly went "oh i love it!"  haha I wonder if she even knows it was your name.

    Dont worry about it, I know its frustrating and you dont want people to think things about when you may have your baby girl, but whatever, let people think what they think, you know the truth.  And you can always tell anyone who asks

    I'd send her a super passive aggrssive message about how that was the baby name the two of you were planning to use someday and about how now everytime she sees her daughter she'll have to be reminded that he once planned that child with someone else. Make her feel second best. She deserves it.

    I was REALLY tempted to do that, but I feel that that’s exactly what my ex wants to happen. I'm enough of a b!tch to do it, and I want to, but I don't want to give my ex the time of day.

    Ever since I announced my engagement he has been like this. (He always thought we would get back togther.)

     

    My mom told me to borrow my friend’s ferret, take photos with it and in our house and to plaster them on Facebook with the title “My Ferret – Faye Marie”

    UGH!  What a jerk! Why are some guys like that? It is hard to be the better person sometimes, but good for you to sticking to it.

    First of all:
    Just delete him from your facebook if you dislike him and hes childish like that why remind yourself of an ass from the past.

    Second of all:
    Dont let him hurt you over a name. It still will hold importance to you when your daughter is named that and because you will love her so much that it wont matter that theres another girl out there with the same name.

    I agree w PP. Delete them from FBook friends. I doubt they'll be keeping the name anyway. I would just delete them so you don't have to see any of that bologna anymore.
    Btw, I love the name... Faye is my grandma's name too :) and Marie is my mom's middle name. They sound very pretty together!

    I'm not friends with either of them on FB, but they both have very public profiles and we have 60+ friends in common, so everytime someone comments it shows up in my feed.

    She never answered the question about the name.
