PROGRAMS!!!!

I am 32 days away and haven't even begun our programs. I am probably going to just get the wording down and then order them from a paper company. But, My question for you girls are ideas and layouts? What's necessary to have on them? time line, info about us, info about bridal party, people that deserve extra thank you? My biggest fear is that I am going to mistakenly upset someone by not giving them the recognition they feel the deserve. I'm sure I am with all of you when I say, there is so much going on in my life right now that I don't have time to worry about all 250 guests individually... And I am very far from a selfish bride. So do you have any recommendations? I'm really good at copying from website ideas!

Re: PROGRAMS!!!!

  • Our programs had a list of the important people (officiant, parents, grandparents, wedding party), the order of ceremony, and a general thank you to our parents and guests. We left the special thank yous for the thank you cards like the ones for the aunts who helped put together favors, etc. This time we've included thank yous for our guests and vendors. I've included both thank yous below in case you're looking for wording ideas:

    To Our Parents

Thank you for supporting us throughout the years and for helping to create this beautiful and special day in our lives. Thank you for your patient guidance, your love, and your generosity.

    To Our Family and Friends

Thank you to all of our family and friends who have traveled near and far to share and be witness to our love for each other and our most blessed union.

     To Our Wedding Guests

Thank you to all of our family and friends who have yet again traveled near and far to share in our day. Our “I Do All Over Again” is doubly blessed with your support, kindness, and love.

  • You still have plenty of time :)  If you do a google search for "ceremony template," you'll find a lot of cool examples ranging from your traditional booklet program to fans, etc.  When you look at the examples, you can see clear ideas about what is to be included.  Generally, you announce your wedding party (including important family members), you can include a dedication or note people who are not in attendance, you include the general details of the ceremony and you can include any other item you'd like to include to make it personal, such as a poem.
  • PP pretty much covered it. I am looking at programs right now as well and plan on ordering them online. The online sites almost always have a template for you to use which I have found very helpful.

  • Thank you so much!!! I knew I could count on you all!!! I am planning long distance and flying home this weekend with my Fi to do the final plans!!! Once we have a schedule, I think it will become easier. I like the simple templates online as well, and at this point, the budget is almost gone so the cheaper but elegant the better!!!
