NWR ouch!

So I'm in some serious pain right about now. I took my 12 lb dog for a walk this morning and we're at the lake. It rained the last two days and there is a bridge that has an arch where the boats drive under. We always walk it. Well she was pulling on her leash and the boards were soaked and therefore a bit slimy and she pulled me right down before I could blink. I can't sit comfortably or lay comfortably. I fell right on my butt and it jarred really hard. I took some aleve because its all I have but it hasn't begun to touch the pain :

  • I feel your pain. I slipped on some ice when I was pregnant with DD and fractured my tailbone. I couldn't sit right for weeks and it was super embarrassing to tell people I broke my ass bone. Take the Aleve a little later and ice it. Hope it feels better soon.

  • I hope I didn't fracture anything but I'm kind of afraid I have as anytime I put any type of pressure sitting down it is excruciating. I can't sit back like normal. I have to lean forward and take the weight off my butt. If I just put the slightest pressure to sit it is very painful.

  • You might want to go get it checked out if it doesn't feel better soon. However, there isn't much they can do though. It's more of a time heals it kind of thing.

my friend fractured her tailbone and basically they gave her pain meds and a donut to sit on.  it took a couple of weeks for it to heal.  feel better!
  • If the pain doesn't subside soon, you really should get it checked out.  if its fractured, there really isn't much that can be done but just to make sure there is some other type of injury.

    Hope you're feeling better soon.

  • How long is soon? Its still hurting 24 hours later. It doesn't bother me when I stand its just when I sit or lay and there is pressure. I don't have any insurance right now so I want to avoid the ER if possible.

  • If you have a bath tub, buy Epsom salts and take a bath.  The magnesium will help your body heal and will help relieve some swelling.
