So, I used to roll my eyes at girls that would say "Oh, I just HAVE to wear a Vera Wang wedding dress!" because I am not one of those girls that needs the designer name in order to love a dress. But, when I saw the White collection at David's Bridal, I just instantly fell in love! There was one dress in particular that caught my eye and I kept going back to look at it constantly in the past 4 months that I have been engaged.
I made an appointment on Sunday to try on dresses because all of the Vera Wangs were on sale. Some were close to $500 off! The sale ended Monday so I rushed in there to be sure to try to catch the deal while I could! I made a list of the top 6 dresses I wanted to try on but unfortunately, the associate said they didn't have 2 or 3 of them! (the dress I loved was there though!) So, it narrowed my search even more.
I tried on my favorite gown first because I didn't know how much time I would have (I have heard some DBs only allow an hour, but luckily mine didnt time me). The second I came out and saw myself on the pedestal, I just fell in love! I knew I loved it but it felt strange to love the first dress! So, I tried on all the others in the Vera Wang collection that they had available anyway. They were all really pretty and I liked all of them, but they weren't that dress, you know?
My family and BM's liked my dress too but they liked another version that was strapless better but I just didn't like it as much as they did. So, after trying on 6 or 7 dresses, I got back in to my first dress, asked for a veil and sash and said yes to the dress!
I am so happy and excited! Apprently it'll be ready for me to pick up by April 16! The first picture is a bit more what itll look like when its fitted, since he is pulling on the extra fabric. Also, this one is in ivory thats pictured. I am getting it in soft white, which is much lighter than the one pictured.
