One of my BFF is engaged. SHe is looking at venues in Wilmington and Lake Lure. Do any ladies have suggestions for venues in either of these places. I know she is haveing a smallish wedding (about 75ppl).
We're getting married there and the owners have been awesome to work with. I don't think you can have more than 75 ppl if you do your ceremony there (we're doing ceremony and reception and are expecting about 65 ppl).
I will second the PP - The Balcony is a beautiful venue.
The Balcony is amazing! so it 128 south! My fiance and I looked into both of those but we are just going to have too many people.
Im not sure when you are looking to have your wedding but St. Thomas Preservation Hall is awesome and SO CHEAP! We couldnt have ours there because they were booked but if it hadnt been we definitely would have used it. You can have your ceremony and reception there or just either one. I have some friends who have done both!
The convention center is beautful but it is very pricey! Worth it though...it just depends on your budget
My fiance and I are having our reception at The Upper Room and are so excited about it! Its a reception only but it was just newly renovated and has not been used by alot of brides, which is a big reason I chose it
Airlie is beautiful but expensive...since you are looking for a small wedding I wouldnt recommend it! Wilmington has so many other choices that are better picks for small weddings!!!
I was born and raised here so if you have any questions let me know Im sure i have looked into it!!!
Lake Lure Inn and Spa has a recpetion spot and you can reserve the gazebo that is right off the lake (kinda across the street) for really cheap from the town...beautiful mountain area! we investigated but decided with somewhere a little closer....rumbling bald resort was nice too but too expresnive for us!
