Place for Bridal Party Photos between ceremony and reception

Hi I'm looking for a beautiful place to go take photos in West Chester or the surrounding area (in June), between my ceremony and reception?

Re: Place for Bridal Party Photos between ceremony and reception

  • I know it's overdone, but Longwood Gardens would be a nice place to take photos. I've been there several times and it's a lovely place. A fun thing to do would be to take photos near/in their 3 treehouses on the property, or the maze garden, or any other place in Longwood.
  • wow that's such a great idea..I never thought of so close to us.  Are wedding parties allowed to take photos there for free?
  • Yes wedding parties are able to take photos you just have to pay the entry fee...

  • Thanks one more question-- can our photographer take pictures there or only us on our own?
  • If you go the website for Longwood gardens it says you can have a photographer as long as it is for personal use.

    Longwood Gardens

It's hard to go wrong at Longwood Gardens, the grounds are massive, but also pristine and positively stunning. With water fountains, flowers and beautiful foliage, the Gardens make for an incredible backdrop setting for your Philadelphia wedding photos.

However, before you arrive at the Longwood gates with your wedding party, photographer and lights in tow, you should know the Gardens do allow photography, but there are policies you must follow. All attendees are required to pay the $16 entrance fee, and no tripods or lights can be used at any time. You may also be required to sign a permission form saying the photos are for personal, not commercial, use.
