First of all...Thank you all for the Birthday Wishes! When I left here I went to a friend's parents house and spent some time with his pregnant wife (also a very close friend, she's a BM) and his mom. Friend was at his own house painting what will be the baby's room. We had to come back to my place to switch cars and friend had to use the restroom. I let him in and found one of our dining room chairs pulled into the middle of the room with two dozen roses
. FI had managed to get off work an hour or so early and got them for me. Apparently friend (FI's BM) had texted FI and let him know where I was. FI was planning on getting me flowers but with the morning I had yesterday, flowers became roses.
So anyway...after FI got off the phone with me yesterday he talked to his sister. She'd had a really rough week culminating in her b/f getting laid off. Then she got the wedding invitation and seeing her father's name on there when she had thought that it wouldn't be came as kind of a shock. She
knew it was my birthday but in the shock and emotion had kind of forgotten. She sent me a text last night and apologized. We were supposed to talk today but that hasn't happened yet and I have to be at work in an hour. To be honest I'm pretty anxious about it. I will probably call her after she gets off work tomorrow. Wish me luck.
