Ideas

I am with a guy in the Navy and our colors, of course, are Navy Blue, White and Silver.  I have a lot of different ideas, but I was wondering what anyone else did for their wedding. Decorations, party favors, etc...

Eh, I don't think it's MUD.  I think it's a married woman who wants to throw a party that resembles a wedding.  Whatevs... nothing new here... I figure if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.  Or at least help them plan the party.

I don't think your colors HAVE to be associated with the fact that he's in the Navy, but if you want those colors, I'm sure they'll be beautiful.

We're having a cornflower blue with cream, gold, and pink highlights (flowers, details, etc.)  We're going for an "antique garden party a la Great Gatspy" look.  My fiance will be in his USMC dress blues, but will likely change to a suit for the reception so he can be more comfortable bustin a move on the dance floor.

I don't know when you are getting married, but you do know the Navy's "Blue" is more of a black right?

Like his "Blues" are actually more black than blue.

I find it strange she never came back to the thread she started yesterday.

I appreciate when people waste my horrible reading and typing skills.

Yes, I know. A drunken night arguing with FI and his buddy's about colors cleared up the "Blue" and blue debate.  Trying to tell drunken me that black is "blue" made for a rather interesting conversation. No disrespect intended, I do understand the meaning behind "Blue"
