Ordering dresses offline???

Ok. I found THE dress for my bridesmaids. FINALLY!!!! Anyways, its from alfred angelo, and on their website it says its less than $175, which is kinda expensive for the girls..... So I was browsing around and found different websites that have the same dress, for cheaper. I found the same dress for $118 on psbridal.com. There is other websites that have this dress too. I want to order them, BUT Im a little wary of it. Has anyone ordered offline, or have any of you heard of this website?? Any insight would be great, Im just looking to save the girls some money!!! Thanks!!!

Re: Ordering dresses offline???

  • I've never heard of that one.  Pearl's Place, RK Bridal, Jays Bridal and Netbride all have good reputations for ordering online.  Most also have a brick and mortar store.

The best price I found for my BM dresses was at Pearl's Place.  It was under $100 for Alfred Angelo jersey knits, which are listed as less than $175 online and $130 from an Alfred Angelo store.
  • I haven't heard of it either.

Have they tried it on?  Or is this a dress that just looks great on the rack?

  • Have them try it on, please please please! I was moh for my friend's wedding last year, and we ordered the dress she chose from the web. even with following the size chart on the site, the dress arrived large enough to pull on over my winter clothes without unzipping it and after alterations it looked nothing like it used to. i hated it and myself in it, but i had no choice but to wear it. if i had been able to try it on before hand, we would've known to order differently.
  • Ok thanks everyone!!! I will definitely round them up and have them try it on!!!

[QUOTE]Definitely have them try it on.  I had my "dream" BM dress picked too then my BMs tried it on and it looked awful.

Same happened to me. The dress we ended up with was actually found by two of my BMs when they went to try stuff on, and it looks way better on all of them than the dresses I'd liked online.
  • My sister ordered her bm dresses ofline, and I had no problems fitting into mine, the only thing i had to take in was the chest area, (i have smallish boobs). But she was able to buy different sizes.

I think it all depends on how the dress fits, and if you would be able to buy different sizes for your BMs.
