Mother and Son Dance

Do they still have a mother and son dance at the reception?  It's been awhile since my first son's wedding.  Any thoughts?

    Yes mother-son dances still occur at lots of weddings. My FI is dancing to "Perfect Fan" by The Backstreet Boys with his Mom.

    We DJ on the side here in CA and we see mother/son all the time.  Sometimes it's just father/daughter.  Whatever works for you is awesome.  I don't think it's required to have or not have one.

    It's really up to the groom and his mother.  Neither H nor his mom wanted a spotlight dance, so we only had father-daughter at our wedding.

    My fiance and his mother are doing a special dance. They're dancing to "Because You Loved Me" by Celine Dion. My FI is not thrilled, but it's one of her favorite songs :)

    Yes, we do want to dance. I've been his biggest fan since he was a little boy.  I know he is going to make a great husband.  I taught him to always have respect for others, but respect himself first.. When his brother got married 12 years ago, we danced to "What A Wonderful World". I still tear up thinking about it. Now to find a song......... Thanks guys!
