Venues that won't break the bank?

I am starting to get discouraged....
I can't seem to find a venue in the Dallas area that isn't super expensive. I would love to get married outside in a garden, or somewhere beautiful. But outside. It would be great to have the ceremony and reception at the same place. It seems all I can find are places that only allow their catering and has a really high minimum per guest. Does anyone have any ideas on a beautiful place in the area that could hold a ceremony and reception??

     I think the everyone will need a little more information for you. How many guest your going to have? How much your willing to spend? I am getting married at A&M Gardens its in Azle. The cost (for up to 150 guest) is $2500 for Friday or Sunday or $3200.00 for a Saturday.

    About 150 guests, in April, I am open to different times... I think a Sunday afternoon weeding and reception is what we are going for. I think it is the min. food purchase of $50-$60 a person is what is getting me.... Our budget is small, about $15,000. I just haven't sound something so far that doesn't take up 10,000 of the 15,000. I will look into the A&M Gardens... not sure how far Azle is.

    I am getting married at Elmwood Gardens.  It's not in Dallas though, it's actually close to Palestine (about a 2 and a half hour drive).  However, all of our family and friends are traveling already for the wedding, so it's not a big deal for us.  We're getting married on a Sunday, and it's $1800 for up to 100 guests.

    Have you looked into Winfrey Point (rented out by City of Dallas Parks and Rec) and The Filter Building on White Rock Lake (rented out by nonprofit White Rock Boating Inc)?

    Both allow outside catering and aren't quite gardens, but do have exquisite outdoor lakeviews.  Both can handle the amount of guests you're specifying with reception and ceremony.

    I got married at the atruims at park and paid a 1,000 for cermony set up and if you do a sunday or friday wedding you can a food and beverage min of 3,000 . They have plated or buffet dinner for around 28 per person

    but you could also look into celebrations in lewisville- they allow you to bring your own food dont think they have an outdoor space though

    How about Canyon Creek Country Club.  Amy there is great.  Also,   Brookhaven Country Club has a lower minimum and has a large ballroom.

    I had a great reception at Maggiano's Little Italy at NorthPark for about $7000--five course dinner, open bar and wedding cake. They do cater so you could contact them.  The Winfrey Point is a great idea if you're really looking for outside.  The Village Country Club has an outside area they'll use for weddings but I'm not sure how many it will hold.  You could also contact Lakewood Country Club and Dallas Athletic Club. 

    PS:  You don't have to be a member at the Village Country Club to get married there.

    These may not be as pretty outside as you want but they all have decent outside areas that you could add to with some floral and are reasonable: Fairview Farms Corral Barn in Plano- there is an outside area and inside. In Mckinney,  Chestnut Square. In Grapevine, Lonesome Dove or La Buena Vida Vineyards.

    We loved the Texas Discovery Gardens.  You may want to check that out.  I'm sure they are booked on Sat. nights (they were booked over a year in advance for our date), but a Sunday or Friday may be open.

    You may want to try Ashton Gardens. They're still building the location here, but they have two other VERY successful locations (one in Houston and the other in Atlanta). I looked there, but my FI didn't want to have it there. It's absolutely stunning. The chapel is floor to ceiling windows surrounded by beautiful trees, and gardens. They're really nice and willing to work with you on budgets since they're new here. The only thing is, I don't know when they're supposed to open. It may be after April, but it's worth checking out.
