Getting in Shape

Dress doesn't fit :-(

I have been eating well and making sure that I get cardio in at least 3 times a week, so I decided to try on my dress today in the hopes that it would be a  little loose. Boy was I wrong! My dress won't even zip up...I don't know what to do. I'm feeling pretty bummed right now...and my self-confidence is pretty much non-existent. I stood in front of the mirror and stared at myself in disgust...and now I'm on a mission to change myself so I'll be happy and confident on my wedding day.

  • You will be fine and you have time! I found that drinking tons of water with lemon and changing up my workout helped a lot. It sort of shocks your body (in a good way). Also, Barre Method (a ballet dance) work out changed my body very quickly. You can download work out videos online. Good luck!
  • I feel your pain I have been working out 5 days a week and haven't lost any weight. It is very discouraging. I am trying to focus on eating better...Good Luck.

Weight watchers really helped me. I thought I was eating healthy until I started to track everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, down. For example, I never counted that creamer in my coffee counted as anything, until I logged it and realized that I had used 3 points that could have been spent on food. I also didn't realize how big my portion sizes were. You can eat a healthy peice of fish but you still need to eat in moderation. I started on March 6th at 126 lbs and this morning I weighed 118.4. My wedding is on June 2nd so I was desperate to try to lose 10 lbs before the wedding date and it has been wonderful. I don't feel like I am on a diet and its definitely something I am sticking with even after the wedding!

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Dress doesn't fit :-( : Really??  You know if you burn say, 400 calories with Insanity, you're only getting 800 calories a day.  You're starving yourself.  You might lose weight initially but that is going to bite you in the butt as soon as you start eating again.

Nope! 1200 calories a day is about what it takes to lose 2 lbs a week, which is considered healthy weight loss. Under 1200 is a little risky, but between 1200 and 1500 is fine!
