Flowers in hair?

This is probably a dumb question. I'm so lost with the wedding planning so I figure this is as good a place to ask as any: when women wear those gorgeous flowers in their hair at their wedding, are they getting that flower at the same place they buy their flower arrangements and bouquets? I'm not even sure if I want arrangements and bouquets......just the flower in my hair. Go to the florist for that?

    You can definitely just go to the florist to get a flower or two for your hair, but this is one thing that I would go the fake route on.  And when I say fake I mean high quality fake to the point that it looks real.  The only reason I suggest this is that some flowers do not hold up well outside of water and you don't want your pretty flowers for your hair all droopy halfway through your wedding day.  Remember that flower will probably be in your hair about 3+ hours before your ceremony even starts and it would have been out of water even longer.

    I would check on Etsy to see what fabric flowers you can find that are very pretty but that won't wilt at the end of the day.

    I'd definitely talk to a florist.  Some flowers hold up very well without water (baby's breath, for instance, or mini calla lilies if the stems are sealed), but others will droop quickly.
