FYI, posters do migrate across boards.

And I promise that you'll find no sympathy for wanting to invite some guests only to the dance part of the reception, and not dinner, on the SNARKY brides board.

I am so so confused as to where this came from.... after reading the last thread with the mispelling. Who was rude? And did she not nicely agree to take the advice of those who responded? What is going on here?

It's how I felt as a whole, and how I've felt before. I don't get why the misspelling is such a big deal though. Could've sworn this is a friendly board to post on, not a spelling bee.

People are generally pretty rude on the knot. But it's really fun to watch them get all huffy about pew bows or bar bills. It puts life into perspective very nicely.

People don't know you, so they are going to tell you like it is. They aren't going to sugar coat it so they don't hurt your feelings. If somethings rude, wouldn't you rather have people tell you first rather than have people be offended at the wedding?

Also, I have never seen anyone get huffy about pew bows on TK. Actually, I don't think I've ever seen anyone talk about pew bows on here.

Because nobody knows you on the internet, we aren't going to tell you something is a good idea if it isn't. Some may seem rude, because some of us are more blunt than others.

Everyone gets all huffy over bar bills and such because it is asked 100,000 times it seems like, and if people took the time to read past the first two threads on the list, they would find their answer. And we get tired of hearing "but my situation is completely different. I'm the special snowflake and none of what you said before applies to me".

Just one example.
