My FI and I can only take three full days (It will end up being four nights, thankfully) for the honeymoon since we are leadership staff at a camp whose training, that we should be helping to lead, starts the day after the wedding. We are blessed with a good boss who is giving us a few days, but we can't take more than the three days.
Also, due to the time constraints, we booked a little cabin between the wedding site (my house) and camp so we could just be on our way there and have the most time possible to be alone.
I'm really excited for this. My only concern is that we will have an hour and a half drive the night of the wedding to get to the place. Since we are waiting until the wedding night, I'm sure there will be a lot of tension and eagerness to get there. Do you think it is a crazy idea to put my FI through an hour and a half of driving on that night, or is it worth it to be able to actually settle into someplace nice for the entire time?
I hope that makes sense and isn't too long and annoying. Did anyone else out there wait for their wedding night? Do you think you could have waited an extra 1.5 hours driving that night?
