That's great to get all of those little things done! I'm jealous! haha! And don't worry about the people that are left to reply, they will get them in to you. Many people just wait until the last minute. Our reply date is on the 20th and we just got 5 replies today. Most of which were a 'no' and they held off until the very end to see if they could make it. We thought we still had about 60 left to reply but realize FI's crazy complicated excel guest list he created was counting the B-list that we never invited, so we've almost got everyone now that we figured that out.. haha!

  • Totally agree Sleeper! We have a ton of people who can't seem to make a few check marks and drop it in the mail box :-/ We still have 10 days until the RSVP date (about a week before we REALLY need the numbers) but we're waiting on quite a few. I'm going to start getting a list together of people to contact so I can get that out to my mom, FI, and FI's mom because I will need their help contacting people when the time comes!

  • Sad part is that most of the unanswered are all my immediate Aunts on both sides. All of the friends we invited has responded yes!

Just got the mail report, No mail today! =/

I'm over it all!! Spending $$ that I'd rather hoard away somewhere, using vacation days I'd rather spend during the summer with my sons and dealing with family that 'etiquette' tells me to!!
    =))))

I sent all of the non-responders nice emails asking if they've received their invites. Just in case the post office lost it. 1 person said that they have never received it. Luckily I checked in with him. I don't see anything wrong with checking in with people to make sure that they've received their invities. At least you'll know that they are just taking their own sweet time to reply while us, the brides, are fidgeting!

Although I have 1 person didn't answer my question and I can totally see that she read my email already (thank you Facebook!!). Grrr....super annoyed!
  • When do you think it would be okay to start messaging/emailing people?

I don't neeed my final head count to the caterer for a bit but I need to finish buying the liquor and plan for kegs of beer and what not prior to that.

  • Man- we're not having any of the responding problems and if we are, it will probably only be a couple of folks. Sorry you guys are dealing with all of that!

Lauren- I think its okay to start contacting people a few days after the reply deadline, just in case they sent it on the actual deadline you want to give it a couple of days to get to you.

  • I plan on starting to contact people the day after the RSVP date. I'm already itching to contact people especially because I've had quite a few people that have mentioned they are attending but haven't sent anything in. I know there are a few people I will have to bug about it because they are terrible about getting back to people. My coworker even told me already that he's coming (by himself, and so far no one else from work is coming.. I hope he changes his mind and brings a friend!) but he will probably forget to send it in. I do think some of my friends are deciding who they want to bring and that's what the hold up is. Though they could just write "guest" and choose a meal for the unnamed guest like one of my friends did.. haha.

  • My due date for my RSVPs is March 8th. I started emailing people a week ago. Again, I just asked if they have received their invites. All of them actually volunteer the info whether or not they are coming without me asking. I'd say since most of your "missing" RSVPs are family, I'd text/email/call them. Maybe you can call 1 - 3 aunts daily until your RSVP due date so you won't have to call a bunch of people on the same day. That will be stressful. :)
