Just Engaged....thinking where to start?!!

Just engaged July 4th!!! SO excited, happy & joyful.  Know the where & approx. when, know approx # of guests & general theme/ideas....but where to really start is the question.....budget is fairly set.  I guess main step would be secure the venue & date!!

    In addition to the venue, get a good photographer booked asap if your venue is anywhere near to a popular resort/marriage area of the country and during wedding season.  Three of the places I investigated for a June/Vegas wedding were already booked more than a year in advance.  Oh, can congrats!

    Congrats and welcome to the board!

    As for where to start, start with the Check List on TK and go from there.  Lurk around the  boards, you'll find plenty you'll want to do.  :)

    Thank you!! Yes, the venue is key!!  We are interested in March, May or June so I need to get on that venue!!

    Best wishes to you!  You are in the right place to get a great start on your wedding!  The Knot has a wedding checklist that will be very overwhelming but does give a great idea on what you need to do and when.  It's great!  It's amazing how much there is to do and early!  You are already ahead of the game though and will do just fine!  Have FUN!

    Venue is definitely first pick. Depending on what it includes, you should probably start looking at caterers. One of my most difficult decisions was picking colors. That might be something you want to start researching- and bridesmaid dresses.
