Food choices??

Hey,
We are working on our menu. We are having a plated dinner. We are obviously going to have a beef option. My family and the grooms family are disagreeing on whether chicken or fish would be more popular to offer as our second choice. Please help!!

You know your family best, but chicken is probably more well-liked than fish.  What kind of fish are you thinking about?  Will the beef already cover most of your guests?  Are you also having a vegetarian option?

Chicken seems to always be a favorite.  A lot of people are not terribly fond of ish, and if it isn't fresh it won't taste very good.

Chicken. Especially in Tuscon.  My answer might have been different if you were from somewhere that's known for its seafood, but even in a coastal city chicken will still be a popular choice.

My family prefers chicken. My fiance's family prefers fish. We will have a vegetarian option if guests request it. Most people will want beef. We are just trying to figure out which people prefer.

I would choose chicken, becuase it is a more generally liked meal option.  I work at a banquet faciliity and almost all weddings have chicken as an option.

I personally love fish... but if you are trying to please a crowd go with the chicken.

What does your caterer do better? I'd go with that.

I voted chicken, but we served prime rib and salmon at our wedding - a popular combination in this part of the country.

I'd go with chicken for sure. My FI and I are doing all 3 but if we were only doing 2 it would be beef or chicken.
