I thought I found my dress but I am having serious doubts.  I thought I would want something different for my second wedding so I picked out a slightly sexier dress then I would normally wear and its in a silver/pale blue color. 

My FI has been talking lately about wanting to see me in a traditional dress and even though this is our second wedding, this is our first marriage to eachother and he wants it treated as such.  Im torn.  Do I stick with the dress I already picked out or should I start over?

    To me, it seems you might want to re-think how comfortable you will be in something that's <em>slightly</em> sexier than what you'd normally wear.  If you are convinced you'd be comfortable, then you should wear the dress you already have.  To the second point, many people choose to wear something that would not be considered traditional the first time around, so this thinking might be a bit outdated re: wedding attire.  Good luck!

    The dress you selected is fine, IMO.  Truthfully, with very few exceptions, men don't really understand what they're saying when it comes to fashion.  You're dress is lovely.   I can't wear strapless dresses, and I had a really hard time when I was trying to find a dress because there were so few that had sleeves/straps!!!   I might ask him to further explain what he means by traditional.   Does he mean anything as long as it's white?  (Many men don't know the difference between ivory and white--my DH, who is an artist, didn't care about that detail of color.)  Or does he mean he wants you to wear a ball-gown type dress and tiara and veil?  Lot of interpretation here.  I would ask.  I actually brought my then FI dress shopping with me.

    I think both the prior posters have some valid points. However, what does your fiance consider "traditional"? The link you provided shows a gorgeous wedding gown that many first time brides would choose. I don't find it "sexy" at all, looks pretty traditional to me. The only non-traditional aspect is the color. What about getting that dress in the other options, ie white or champagne? Does he expect you to be all covered up like a virgin bride? 

    If you want to keep your dress choice a surprise, pick up a couple of bridal magazines and show him different styles that YOU love, or know would look good on you. See what he considers "traditional" before deciding. 

    For me, my fiance could care less, he just wants me to feel great in my choice.

    He actually took me dress shopping a few months ago and he really liked the more traditional fuller longer train styles.  I have contacted the bridal salon to see if I can come in to try my dress on again and possibly look at a reselection.  I purchased my dress from their samples and have only paid for 1/2 of it so far.   Im torn and confused...lol

    wow, that dress is gorgeous and I would consider it traditional personally.  No, it is not a ball gown, but it has a very full skirt when compared to other mermaid- style dresses.  try it on again, but if you still feel good in it I say go for it- I love it!!!!!

    When I look at that dress I think it looks like a wedding dress.  It's beautiful, BTW, and if it makes you feel good, then I bet your FI is going to love it.

    I think it is beautiful! It is not a "sexy dress", it is a wedding dress and I am certain FI will love it on you! If, however you think he will truly dislike it, then find another dress! But this day is for both of you and you should love your dress as well!
