Day of Coordinator

Hello lovely ladies!

I am having my wedding on January 1st at a Golf Country Club and they have a clubhouse manager that takes care of weddings. When I ask him questions about moving the flowers from the outside ceremony to the inside reception or decorations, vendors etc he keeps saying "sure, we'll do that.... yeah that's fine" but seems very passive about everything and unsure. Everyone keeps telling me I need a day-of-coordinator and I would like to know:

- Where can I find one?
- How much does one cost?
- Do I really need one?

Do you have one for your wedding? Have you used one or worked with one before? Is it worth it? Help!!

    i didn't have one and i wish i did! i thought the coordinator at our venue would be good enough, but she didn't care about the details of my wedding. she just cared about issues that were specific to her venue.

    i don't know what they cost, but if i was to book one I'd book charisma moran or ashlie hampton. good luck!

    We had one for our wedding and she was THE WORST! You can see details in my vendor reviews. BUT, it is TOTALLY important to have one! DEF look into Charisma Moran :)

    I am glad I decided to book a DOC.  I am using Blush by Brandee Gaar.  I am actually meeting with my DOC this week because they take over 6 weeks out.  She will coordinate with my vendors, put together a time line for them etc.  I just don't want me or my Mom to have to worry about the details on the day.

    I would not have made it without Tracy Marini @ Eventfully Yours.  She and her staff are professional, responsive, thoughtful and knowledgeable.

    I looked into it but it ended up being way more money than I thought/hoped it would be.  For right now, I've decided not to hire one.

    Thank you all so much for your help and advice!! I put in an email to Charisma. I took a look at Eventfully Yours and it looks too professional to not be afortune so I will just hope that Charisma is decently priced.

    Please let me know what you find out. I really want one too, but am on a tight, small budget. I looked into Kristy Rapp because she was well recommended as well. Her page says DOC services starting at $200 and I need the absolute basic, so I figured it'd be around that. She sent me a quote of I think $500, which is still less than alot of other people, but it was misleading from her website.

    I met a new DOC while I was at my florist.  It was totally a random meeting but she gave me her card and said that since she was new she would work with people on pricing.  I was impressed because she was at the florists' getting the contract for a bride that she was currently working with so she could have all of the details prepared.  If you are interested, please let me know and I will share her number.  please note: I have not used her and do not know her.

    fyi, that's normal for the DOC to get in touch with all the other vendors to make sure they know exactly what time everything is happening and exactly what to expect on the wedding day! :)

    My DOC was Ashlie Hampton and she was wonderful.  SHe really made sure everything was running very smoothly.  I recommend her.

    I used Ashlie Hampton for my wedding and she was amazing!  Couldn't have done it without her!  I have a full review in my married bio.

    She is amazing! The whole planning process has been awesome.
    When our venue told us we may not get a ballroom, Nicole worked her lil butt off to make sure we got a ballroom! And all of the vendors shes had us meet are truly amazing! :)
