Pittsburgh Food Trucks???

Okay, Fiance thinks I am crazy, but... I am always starving by the end of a wedding. The first thing I want to do is order room service or call a pizza place before they close if we're staying at a hotel that night! That being said, I thought it would be a really great idea to possibly have a food truck for the end of the night at our reception. Reception ends at 10pm and I thought it would be a fun surprise to have a food truck for the guests who are staying at the hotel (we have a ton of college friends coming). I don't even know if our venue would allow this to happen, but does anyone know of any food trucks in the area??

Oakland has a lot of really awesome Asian food trucks that hang out on Bigelow Boulevard. Their food is some of the best I have had, ever, for anything. I bet you would have to go to them in person though to even find out if they would do it. There are also food trucks on the edge of CMU's campus, I think around Margaret Morrison.

The Goodie Truck is also another one that I know for a fact will come to you if you reserve it. They do mostly candy and deserts.

The Tribune Review has a good article (clicky) and this one is about The Goodie Truck. You can also find The Goodie Truck on Twitter and FB. If you Google "Pittsburgh food truck" you'll get some other good info.

I think that's a great idea!  I've seen too in magazines people get ice cream trucks in for a sweet snack on the way out.

Our venue is outdoors, so we're planning to have a fire started with about 45 minutes left and our caterer is setting up a table for smores.  Lots of desserts after the cake, cookie table (with grooms cake) and then finish with smores... but we're excited about it!

I would have the goodie truck if my venue allowed the reception to go after 10.  We were talking about this on my month board and one girl suggested dunkin doughnuts.  I know it might not be as cool as a food truck, but I'd be all about dunkin doughnuts at the end of the night
