boudoir pics! also probably something silly like a flask with his fav liquor in it, or a case of his fav beer.

I got him cuff links that I actually already gave him since he wanted them to go with his tuxedo for the ceremony.  Were browsing on eBay, saw a pair he decided he had to have, and got a good price on them.
Whoever said it was supposed to be happily ever after is a big fat liar.

I gave him a package with several things and a note attached to each one.
    Socks...for your possibly cold feet
    His fave liquor....for your nerves
    Cufflinks....for you
    Mints....for our first kiss
Lingerie for me with my new last name....for our honeymoon
He loved it!  I also wrote in a journal throughout the planning process and gave that to him.

I plan on surprising him with boudoir pics for our 1st anniversary.  Can't wait!

I am giving him a journal I've been keeping which documents every significant moment in our relationship, as well as just the little things. I got the idea from the movie "The Notebook". I had a feeling when we met that he was "The One," so I started the journal and figured if for some reason it doesn't work out, oh well, but if it does, I have this amazing gift for him.

It starts with the day that we met and I try to update it every week. It includes things such as the night he introduced me to his family, our experience as we picked out and bought our first house (we chose it together, and he bought it "for us" and I will move in with him when we marry), our first disagreement and how we got through it, the first time that I saw him in a really weak moment and cared for him when he was sick, his graduation from medical school and the amazing weekend we spent together celebrating it, some of the wonderful dates we've been on and weekends we've spent together, our struggles adjusting to his new schedule as he started his residency and what that meant for our relationship, and also just random things like if I see something funny or sweet that I want us to remember later, or reminders that no matter what we go through, I love him and am always here for him. It's not all positive all the time, but it's a real story of our relationship and everything that has led up to the wedding day. I will give it to him on the night before our wedding.

He knows about the journal and is so excited about it. He tells me all the time that he can't wait to receive it. I think it might be a little cheesy for some people, but we both enjoy writing to each other and are sentimental, so it's perfect for us.
