Second Weddings

Hi, new to the 2nd wedding boards

Hi, I'm new to the second wedding boards but they look like they have some ab fab advice for us folks on our 2nd time around. This is my 2nd wedding, my fiancee's first time getting married. We're excited, my first wedding was done in Vegas at a business park chapel. I didn't get to have anyone there but my mother, his parents couldn't attend. So I'm so pleased to be having a wedding with all our close family and friends in attendance. It will be taking place at his parent's lake house next summer. I am eager to share ideas and get some input. We're on a bit of budget but we do want it to be beautiful and memorable. And oh yea, I'm Jeannie from Washington State, hello everybody.

Hello!  Welcome to the board and congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

I'm Melissa, in the immigration process to Canada from the States, and am getting married on October 10.  Only 23 days away!

Good luck!  It sounds like you're well on your way with planning it out.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. I appreciate some the great suggestions already given, never thought about e-bay. My wedding date is August 27, 2011 it's a good time to have a wedding in Central Washington. I've been looking over the board and I'll be chiming in and asking a lot of questions. My sis in law has a wedding plan business so she's doing all the hard work but I still need ideas to bounce off her. Thanks guys.

[QUOTE]Welcome! Ways to save: avoid one-use items like toasting flutes, cake serving sets, aisle runners, expensive centerpieces, fancy guestbooks. eBay is a bride's best friend. Not everything is used - plenty of wedding wholesalers use it. DIY whenever you can.

Man! Retread great tips.  I came to this board after I got married!

Here's another tip, borrow your friend's old stuff!  I got my gift card holder and cake knife from my friend.  She was cleaning out her house.  And to the OP, I bought things I could use again; shoes and jewelry.
