The Pros - Specifically DJ

Have any of you ladies ever used the DJs from the Pros?  Their prices seem great but they aren't based in NJ and I'm not sure when I will be able to get to one the bridal shows in Jersey that are showcasing them.

Also, would any of you ladies have a DJ recommendation?  We aren't looking to spend more than $1000.

Thanks ladies!

  • A $1000 is very cheap. What are you looking for from your DJ? Just music?
  • Yea, basically just music.  What more would I need a DJ for.  I guess I'm just shell-shocked at how expensive DJs are.

  • Yeah they can be very expensive. I paid $1400 for mine but that included music for cocktail and reception, up lighting, tvs, and a gobo. You should be able to get just music for $1000. Pm me if you need any help!

The problem with The Pros is they are jacks of all trades and masters of none.  If you do a search on them here you'll see they have a very bad rep. I can't talk about a DJ specifically but they royally screwed up my friends wedding photos and video.

  • Most wedding DJ's that I've come across in NJ are super cheesy.
  • I don't know much about Pros but we are paying 1399 for our DJ.  We have a DJ and MC.  The price for just a DJ was about 800 or so?  I don't remember off the top of my head.  The price included music during the cocktail hour (which we don't need).  If you want any additional information PM me.  :)

  • mpaone, I used The Pros for photo, video, and DJ and they were amazing. I think we paid something like $600 for DJ services and used Tony Pop (Anthony). I TOTALLY recommend him. He was able to feel out the best music for our crowd, kept the atmosphere light when I accidentally threw the bouquet into the chandelier (oops) and worked with my sister for her MOH rap (yes) and our friends for their surprise dance they planned for us.

I know the Pros have a bad rap on here, but I think if you do your research, you'll be fine!

  • I am in the process of looking for a Dj to, this post is extremely helpful... but I want a Dj who knows the local scene.

FYI its key look at the about us section of their websites too see they're previous track record.
