Who should hold the rings???

So I have a dilemma we are no longer having a bridal party, which I'm fine with.  However, now we are kind of trying to figure out who should hold the rings and who should hold the bouquet.

We are still having a Ring bearer and a Flower girl, which will be my 5 year old nephew and my one year old niece.  I figured age was important to know what duties they might could hold.

I though about having my nephew hold the rings on the pillow, but if he does that who unties them off the pillow?  Also, should we have the officiate just skip past the part where they ask who has the rings or should we still keep that? 

So I'm mainly asking who should we have hold the rings and who should I hand my bouquet to?  Thanks a bunch!

    You could have the officiant hold the rings, or maybe have one of your parents hold the rings and then bring them up when you get to that part of the ceremony. But I think that a five-year-old (depending on the child) could be asked to hold them. Just tie the rings with a knot that's easy to undo, have someone show him how to do it, and he should be fine. I'd give him something else to play with during the ceremony, though, so he doesn't fiddle with the rings and accidentally loosen/drop them. :)

    I think you should give them to your mother to hold.

    I think your mother holds your flowers and your dad the rings. Let the nephew hand the ring pillow to your dad or to his dad.

    I think having your paretns hold the rings/ take your bouquet is a good idea if you're not having a BP.

    Another option would be for you to carry them. You can have your florist add an extra ribbon around your bouquet and tie them there.
