Sparklers!

I'm searching for some sparklers online.  I found some decent priced 20 inch sparklers that burn for about 2 mins.  However, they have 36 in ones that burn for 4 mins, but at double the price.  I'd probably only use them for my send off.   Is 2 mins long enough, or should I just get the 36 in?

Hmm. I would think the 2 minute ones would be fine but I would think that who ever is lighting them has to hussle to light them and pass them out fast so you can get through with them still sparklin'.
Let me know what you decide and where you get them from. I am doing the same thing.

Maybe you can give out matches, too and have someone tell your guests to light the sparklers at the same time.

I would think the 2 min ones are fine but I have never been to a wedding with a sparkler send off so I don't really know how it works. Let me know where you buy them from because I am planning on doing the same thing!

2 min sparklers are fine. We used them for ours and they were perfect. How many guests do you have? Do you have a coordinator who can setup everything so it goes easier... dont use matches... you need those lighter guns so everyone can stick there sparkler in it and go! :-)

Also, people can light sparklers off of other lit sparklers. That would make it faster. And I agree, the lighter guns will help speed things up, too.

One of my good friends used sparklers at her wedding.  The ones she used were probably between 6-12 inches and burned for about a minute.  She tied 2 sparklers and a little matchbook together with ribbon and had them all in a basket where people walked out.  A bridesmaid came out and said to light them and then the bride and groom came out 30 seconds later.  It worked out perfectly and the picture were amazing!  I would go with the 2 minute ones, that should give you PLENTY of time. Good luck!

I think 2 minutes should be fine. I agree with getting ighters, too. Less chance of burning down your venue. :)
