T-Plex Brides - catering kitchen?!

Have any of you heard about the catering kitchen?

Patricia had talked about it briefly when we met, but it sounded like a "in a couple of years" scenario...however my father is friends with someone on the board of the T-Plex and he told my father that the catering kitchen is almost completed and ready to use!

Can someone confirm this for me? If so, do you know more about it?!

Patricia is not responding to any of my e-mails....

Also, have you guys been sending in payments? I tried to confirm with Patricia that someone would receive a payment if I mailed it to the T-Plex and she hasn't responded. (so frustrating, but I have to imagine it is ultimately worth it for the T-Plex)

    I haven't heard anything about the catering kitchen! It would be awesome, and probably a lot easier for our caterers, if it was completed by the time of our weddings.

    I sent in a payment in mid-January and emailed Patricia about two weeks after to see if it had been received and when it would be deposited. She responded the same day to say she had received it and was just waiting on a copy before she deposited it; it was deposited about a week-ish later. I mailed my payment to the PO Box address, so you should be fine if you do that too. I plan on sending in another payment in a week or two. Hopefully she responds to you soon!

    I saw the kitchen when we stopped by a few weeks ago! I don't think its completely done, but we went with our caterer and I'm pretty sure Pat told her they could use it to wash dishes :)

    I just e-mailed my dad's friend, hopefully he can clarify some things for us. If/when I get a response I will post it here so we're all up to date.

    How are you guys planning on keeping food warm/cool for your dinners? Or is your caterer fully controlling that?

    I'm pretty sure its on the third floor in that first bay. I could be wrong though, but I remember Pat mentioning it a couple months ago.

    Our caterer is controlling all that. When I first booked her, I told her there was no kitchen at all. She said she's been to many events where there was not a kitchen, so hopefully she has ideas and whatnot.

    <div>Our caterer is taking care of it as well. Zingerman's has done weddings at the T-Plex before and is aware of its (now former) limitations. I think they're using chafing dishes to keep the hot foods warm.</div>

    i had no idea that they were even putting in a catering kitchen, awesome. I've sent 2 payments, and I believe they have recieved them. I still havent picked a caterer... Sealed..or a dress.. scary.

    I toured the T-Plex for a 2013 wedding last week. Pat took me into the catering kitchen. The sink is sitting there but it's not hooked up. The kitchen is on the 2nd floor.

    The thing about T-Plex is that lots of things are up in the air. Pat said "a year or two?" when we asked how long it would take for the kitchen to be finished. Lots of ambiguity.

    Pat's a full-time volunteer and all the people working in there are volunteers too.

    entropicbeauty, I am jealous of your connection to the board of directors there. I still don't have confirmation that my 2013 wedding can be held there because the board has not decided the number of weddings they will allow for 2013. Pat has called me to update me, but the answer so far has been "there is no answer yet."

    I do believe that where there's a will, there's a way, so I'm going to find a way to have my reception there. No other place has felt right to me but this one.
