  Congrats! I love having a joint account with FI. We're just using for wedding expenses now but we'll pay or mortgage and other joint expenses from it after we're married.  We haven't figured out yet how much we'll each contribute.  How are you using the account?

  Choices - for now we're using it for wedding expenses. I had our wedding money sitting in my savings account but as the time gets closer and more & more needs to be paid for, it was a huge pain trying to remember to transfer money into my checking account. So for now & a short time after the wedding, we will use it for everything wedding related. Then we'll use it for our primary bank account.
