I have e-mailed Ashley with Updos for I do's and she's booked for the afternoon of July 10 already.

Then I e-mailed and talked with Terri from Faces by Terri. She was late in the first e-mail, then said she had lost power due to the blizzard (TOTALLY understood!) and was supposed to send me a contract, over three weeks ago. I've e-mailed her twice since then with no response.

I e-mailed Aisha with Picture Perfect Make-up on Tuesday and haven't heard from her yet. Her rates were a little higher than I wanted to spend, but could swing it.

I also have information on Ana Merces, but it's been over a month since I've talked with her and not sure if she's still available.

And I have no one for hair.

I need help! Any suggestions???

Aww that stinks! It's awful to keep waiting for responses.

I used Aisha and really LOVED what she did at both my trial and wedding day. Totally worth the money.
She was always really quick to respond...maybe try her again? Sometimes my emails went to my vendors' SPAM folders and they took forever to respond. here's the email I used for her: aisha@pictureperfectmakeupdc.com

One of my BM's ended up doing my hair, BUT I did have a trial with Thania from Tru Beauty that I really liked. (I just took too long to send in my contract and she was booked...boo

Are you looking for someone to come to you or are you going to go to a location?

Crystal Jo is coming to my hotel to do everyone's makeup. Her rates are great. $75 for day of makeup, $20 for lashes, $40 for bm's and others, and $25 for each hour traveled to your destination. She is near Annapolis, so about an hour to DC.

For hair, I am having Carla from PR& Partners in Old Town come with an assistant. Hair services are between $40-$100 I believe. She also does makeup and you can go to the salon location in Old Town if you prefer. She does charge a fee for travel. I go to this salon for my hair cuts with Tammey and Carla is the go to for bridal hair.

Thanks! I actually did just hear from her and she's having a baby and due mid-July so she's not booking anyone during that time. :-(

We used Nena's Special Occasions Hair and Make-Up. She does both hair and make-up, does a free trial for the bride, will come to your location, and has very reasonable rates. We were both very pleased with her.

I just had my trial with Kimberly Steele two weeks ago and she was fantastic! Did a great job on both makeup and hair, exactly how I wanted it! She is traveling out to my hotel for the day of.

I'm using Perry Warren (w/Frizzles Salon in Springfield) and I really like him. He does hair and makeup and comes to you. I have my trial next month and have gone to him twice for regular haircuts now. He has great reviews!

I'm in the same boat, everyone I've talked to either doesn't return phone calls or is booked already. I did call Nena in Feb and she moved to Nebraska or something so she isn't available anymore (and seemed kind of annoyed when I called).

Snydera - do you have contact info for Carla? I got to the site but didn't see any contact info.
