Plastic China or Real China

Ladies,

Are any of you using plastic china and charge plates or are you all going with the real deal?

We are thinking of doing the plastic china with gold lining and the gold charger plates.

We used real china. We considered plastic, but our caterer's disposable china was actually more expensive. We didn't have charge plates.

We are doing the real deal... It is included in our venue/catering package. We aren't having charge plates (yet at least... I really want some though).

I am trying to decide on them while they are on sale. I see quite a few of them in the stores and they are good prices because of the christmas holiday.

We are doing glass plates and we willl use chargers as well.

real is what the caterer is using but i saw chargers at walmart for 3.00 so im thinking about it

Our venue has the real deal. I also think she has chargers, but if not, my photographer {who also does decor} would throw in chargers for free because I've referred a lot of business to her. IDK the purpose of chargers.

@Chanel- chargers are essentially just oversized plates that regular sized plates sit on (ladies, please correct me if I'm wrong but that's what the hell they look like to me lol)

I'm using the real thing because it came with my reception package. I went to a wedding a few weeks ago that used the look alike china and silverware. Before I picked up my plate from the buffet I thought it was the real thing.

Chargers are for decoration, they do look like oversized plates to me also. I'm thinking about using them for my head table only

Absolutely correct they are oversized plates that hold the regular plates. Essentially they are a decorative piece as pictured above. I think they make the table spaces look a bit more elegant. While they have them on sale I think I may go for it.
