Vista Suite Brides Again! or anyone who want's to give an opinion...

Hello again ladies! I have a question......I was thinking of having extra seating/tables brought in due to the fact that FI would like us to have Maggiano's possibly delivered. My problem.....Eating Italian while standing is NOT GONNA work in my book but I want to accommodate FI, due to his lack of really asking for anything... So I contacted my WC and she said a flat rate of $350...should I just do this or save the $350 and try to stick to an App's menu???

    Is there anywhere else that does tables?  We're not going through the chapel so I don't have a WC, and $350 seems like a lot of extra money...  I'm halfway tempted just to pick up a couple of card tables at Wal-Mart.

    I agree with PP, $350 seems like a lot. What about renting them?

    They are in Vegas, and you could rent their tables and just put a table cloth over them? The prices seem pretty reasonable.

    See that idea seems better.....I wonder if they will deliver to MB? Because of how obvious it is, I would not want any problems?

    aerin - I looked at Wal-Mart.com and they are about $90....

    I was thinking about that, if delivery would be a problem. Maybe you could call them and ask them if they have ever delivered to hotels?

    Really?  Maybe that's just the online price.  I distinctly remember seeing a long folding table in-store for $30, though I guess when you start factoring in the chairs, it would drive up the price...

    I bet you are right about in the store, but then you have chairs too....ugghh! well I got an e-mail today from a rental co. so I e-mailed them right now and they got back ASAP with Yes to the delivery ($55) so I am going to have her put together a quote for like 3 small tables(??) and some chairs.... there is not a lot of room to do this but I think it can be done....

    Yeah, I'm most concerned about the space.  I may just see who among my friends who are driving in have some folding tables and chairs.  I'm not too concerned about the reception, but we're doing lunch in-suite as well catered by Fazoli's (assuming they're still in business in April), and it's the same problem of trying to eat Italian standing up.

    Are you driving or flying in, stinkerbell?  Whereabouts in CA are you?

    We are going to be driving in....Bakersfield.....Yeah I might go look sometime over the weekend to see the prices. If it's only a couple that won't be too bad, there is other seating in the room, I just don't wanna hear sh!!t from guest about trying to eat (well, I don't know anyone that rude, but (p)&e reminded me of that last week....)

    Yep...we are talking about it and either this or going back to the original idea of Masterpiece Cuisine. I just can't justify money on tables, etc when I can stick to my original plan.

    I would stay away from it due to the space issue. How many guests are you having? I'm having around 60 and am scared we will already be cramped!

    I'd just be worried about space for after the meal if you're planning on staying up there for drinks/dancing afterwards- where would you clear them to? Though I suppose folding tables would be OK as you could stack them up out of the way. I'd rather have a sit-down meal in a restaurant than have the added hassle- but that's probably just my own laziness! Tongue out

    We had seared scallops on taro chips (seriously among the best scallops I've ever had); beef on mini silverdollar rolls (the beef was so tender- really beautiful), teriyaki chicken kebabs, stuffed new potatoes; bruschetta, mini deep dish pizzas. I've got some photos I can upload if you'd like? xxx

    That would be great! I also e-mailed another Cater today, so I will see what the pricing looks like and then ASAP get FI and I to decide who and get them booked!
