The Hunger Games Movie

Is anyone seeing it this weekend?!? I know I brought it up when I finished the book last summer and there were a few of you that had read it back then...

A couple of my friends and I were going to see it at midnight but then some of them decided they needed sleep for work tomorrow (wtf who needs sleep?) so we're going tomorrow night. I'm so excited!

I'll probably go next week. I hate going opening weekends because then you have to fight the crowds.

LOVED the books... I've been hearing good things about the movie so I'm pumped to see it.

I would like to read the books first so I am not plus I will be celebrating my 30th bday all weekend!!! I have a 3 day weekend so you ladies probably won't see too much of me until monday.

Maybe I will check up on everyone while I am enjoying my mani/pedi tomorrow

I am so exited for the movie! I love the books and actually really want to teach the first one once I get my own class. I'm mad though, I can't see it til saturday. My sister is away at school and no one else will go at midnight (if she was here we would totally have gone though, we did it for the Harry Potters). And tomorrow night my FI has a comedy gig and I'm his ride. So my mom and I are going to the earliest show I can get her to on Saturday. I can't wait!!!

I can not wait to see this movie! Loved the books! But I will prob not see the movie until next week just because I dont like going opening night with the crowds.

I read the first book and want to see the movie but I will probably wait until it is On Demand. I think there are few things worse than paying $15 to hear someone else blather away through the whole movie.

I have the illustrated movie companion and O.M.G. this is going to be the best movie in the universe.

Penny - I want to read the book first, too. Chances that happens are very slim, though.

I was wary of reading it because SO MANY people kept saying how good it was, and I started to not believe them. Kind of like the hype associated with Avatar (which I HATED with a PASSION). But now that I look at the premise of Hunger Games, it sounds great.

i ordered a mockingjay necklace too!!

I ordered my hoodie from Etsy....it has a mockingjay on the front and it says "Love changed the games" and on the back it says "You love me. Real or not real?" "real."

I went to a midnight premiere and it was really good. Its a little graphic in some parts, but it is the Hunger Games. Follows the book very well, but I won't say too much until people have seen it.

Saw it at midnight

I thought it was pretty good. They left out some really important details though and included things that weren't in the book which really irritated me. (I understand they have to do that sometimes to make things make sense for people who never read the book, but some things were just ridiculous to include and had no point in the story.)
