I really wanted to know WHO was coming to our wedding, so I'm being very particular. We're not excluding children, so I've made several templates, one with space for 3 people, and a more generic one for large families.

Thanks for posting this Ash! I have been wanting to ask the same thing and keep forgetting. I am looking for a way to avoid the uninvited guest scenario, so hopefully someone has an option that is specific on how many guests are invited on the response card!

ALSO: I am numbering all my RSVP cards, and keeping an excel spreadsheet with the names associated with each number. That way if someone sends it back without their name, I will still know who it is!

I know this may be a silly suggetion, but I am thinking about including a line where guests can write in song requests that way I have some song ideas for my DJ that my guests would love to hear. Is this silly?

Ditto. Love it. I wanted to do this, but we're having a classical guitar play during the reception... so it's not really an option. But we are including blank recipe cards in the invite for family members to pass on Family Secrets!!!

I've heard the numbering advice from many friends who recently got married because guests forget to write in their names. I'll number the guests in my Google doc and then write the corresponding number on the back of the RSVP.

I've also seen this, but I won't be doing this:

______ seat(s) have reserved in your honor.

I think this is to make it clear that it's just Mr. and Mrs. Smith who are invited, not their three daughters. I would hope a clearly labeled envelope would communicate that, but maybe not.

Here's mine... is it redundant to have people write their names twice? Would initial next to their choice of entree be better? Our venue needs to have us identify every person's entree choice so I do need to have it on the RSVP card and I need to know who picked what.

Or instead of the M_____, write their name in.
